The President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria NIMN, Dr. Idorenyen Enang has disclosed that the institute has advanced a discussion with the world’s largest and internationally renowned, Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), United Kingdom to uplift marketing profession among its members.

He made this known yesterday at a media parley organized to announce the date for the 2023 annual marketing conference and annual general meeting of the institute scheduled to hold at the Fraser Suites, Abuja-FCT, between June 22 and 23, 2023.

Enang, who is also aspiring to serve a second term as President of the institute, said it was a thing of joy and pride to collaborate with a world-class institute like the CIM which has contributed to marketing immensely.

He said, “As an institute, the currency of the future seats in collaborations and strategic partnerships have become a top priority for us. And to get the best for our members it can only be through a global affiliation. ”

The annual marketing conference which has the theme ” The Role of Marketing and Ethics in Nation Building” is expected to attract industry heads, top government functionaries, and thought leaders in the world of business where deep insights and knowledge will be extensively discussed.

Speaking on the conference, the institute’s Chairperson of Events and Conferences, Mrs. Chioma Afe, said that preparations are in top gear to ensure a smooth conference and AGM.

She disclosed that the Keynote speaker for the conference is Mr. Lolu Akinwunmi, a renowned marketing communications expert as well as notable personalities and academic professors as panelists.

She said that Lampe Omoyele, managing director of Nitro 121 and Maupe Ogun Yusuf, a renowned broadcast journalist will moderate the sessions.

‘’The conference is expected to witness the induction of new members, election and other exciting engagements for networking and relationship building’’, she added.

The 2022 edition of the conference was held in Lagos which drew an array of industry intellectuals that gave a diagnostic review of the evolution of technology and data utilization as catalyst for the marketing profession in Nigeria.
