It was an evening of glitz and glamour as the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Ikeja Chapter, inaugurated its newly elected executives who will steer the affairs of the chapter for the next two years.
The event, which also doubled as the chapter’s end-of-year party, was held at the Ikeja Business Club, Alausa, with oath of office formally administered to the executives by the National President of the institute, Mrs Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi.
The well-attended ceremony drew industry leaders, fellows of the Institute, marketing professionals and distinguished guests, which marked a strategic transition aimed at repositioning the Ikeja Chapter as a premier hub for professional excellence within the Institute.
Speaking shortly after her inauguration, the Chairman of the chapter, Mrs. Onome Odili, outlined a bold and inclusive vision for the future of the chapter.
“Today marks the beginning of a clear mandate to uplift our Institute, the NIMN Ikeja Chapter, into a new era. Our vision is to reposition the chapter as the most active, influential and professionally rewarding chapter in the entire Institute,” she said.
She emphasised that leadership is a collective journey rather than a solo act, the newly inaugurated Chairman called for active participation and partnership from all members to achieve the chapter’s goals.
“We step into this role with humility and confidence rooted in service, together, we will build a chapter that truly reflects the spirit of marketing with innovation, connection and impact,” she added.
Onome Odili was inaugurated alongside other members of the executive, including Nana Milagrosa Biyang as Vice Chairman; Mr. Rasheed Adeniyi, General Secretary; Mrs. Roseline Abaraonye, Assistant Secretary; Mr. Birhiray Eric, Treasurer; Mrs. Adekemi Alegbeleye, Financial Secretary; Mr. Stephen Okoh, Public Relations Officer; and Mrs. Omoyele Oguntade, Welfare Secretary.
The ceremony served not only as a forward-looking moment but also as a tribute to the outgoing executives with a deep appreciation for their service, acknowledging that their dedication and service laid a solid foundation for the chapter’s continued growth.
