The aesthetically designed Mediaviews Limited/LASACO Properties LED billboard located at Oko Cole, Oworonsoki by 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos, is currently displaying Nigerian Breweries’ Star Lager beer advertising campaign.
The billboard which has a peculiarity of size and location measured 20m x 37m making 740 square metres has one of the best visibilities and it is about the largest in Lagos, if not in Nigeria.
The vantage position of the billboard recently earned the Light Emitting Diode (LED) the best located hoarding by Coca-Cola group in Atlanta, United States.
According to a reliable source, the billboard is currently attracting high profile advertisers who are willing to showcase their brands on the high profile billboard.
Before now, the site was acquired in 2002 and a double-sided 12m x 30m (360sqm) conventional static structure was erected on it for Coca-Cola. It was the first of its kind and the only larger-than-life structure in the state as at then.
It was later occupied by AIRTEL and the brand remained on it before the owners embarked on making it a mega digital structure as advised by some regulatory bodies.
During this period, Mediaviews approached some financial institutions. Some of them signified their intention to partner with the company. Eventually, Mediaviews settled for LASACO Properties Limited which has been very collaborating with the outdoor advertising agency.
Investigation by MARKETINGSPACE revealed that there has been some high level of understanding and harmony amongst both parties.
Findings also revealed that the site has been a premium site in the country since inception about 14 years ago and has paraded campaigns from few heavy advertising spenders. With four more slots on offer, the site will offer more opportunities for discerning brands.
