Redefini, West Africa’s leading integrated marketing communications group, as well as an affiliate of the world’s third most valuable marketing communications group, Publicis Groupe, has announced the appointment and elevation of advertising expert, Simisola Hughes-Obisesan to the office of Executive Creative Director for the group. In her new role, the international, award-winning creative powerhouse will oversee all local and global brands under the group’s portfolio.
The recently appointed Executive Creative Director was also elected as part of the 2023 Pitcher Festival Heritage Jury, joining a lineup of global experts across the creative industry to shortlist world-class creative work. The award festival, which is the pan-African benchmark for creative excellence, presents the prestigious award to deserving ad agencies, brands and individuals for campaigns and initiatives created or implemented in Africa.
Commenting on the feats, Sinmisola said, “It’s an honour to be appointed as a member of the 2023 Pitcher Festival Heritage Jury. As I join other creative peers to define the pan-African benchmark for creative excellence, I look forward to seeing the various creative entries for 2023 and giving some of Nigeria’s creative agencies the recognition they deserve.”
The Sinmisola-led team at Insight Publicis recently clinched multiple gold, silver and bronze awards at the 2023 Publicis Africa Groupe Giraffe Awards, for the creative work on the popular 2022 advertising campaign, ‘Japa to Prime’, which was executed for Amazon Prime Video, the global on-demand subscription video and over-the-top streaming platform.

Sinmisola is a global award-winning creative director with over 13 years advertising experience on a plethora of brands. She was the first female and millennial creative director at Insight Publicis and also stands as the second female creative director in the history of advertising in Nigeria. She is an alumnus of Coventry University, the United Kingdom with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Culture & Media.
